The pre-purchase aspect of homeownership comes with a great deal of pride and you want to be sure you make the most sound decisions possible.

In our next several series of blog posts we are going to explain to you what the various types of home inspections are and what information they really provide you. You always want to make sure you have a licensed professional home inspector do a through investigation of any home you anticipate purchasing. There are a great many aspects to an inspection that you simply cannot detect by simply walking through or without the proper eduction.

In a lot cases when folks relocate especially from one climate to another they may not be aware of inherent things to watch for in a new climate. For instance, in low lying areas you don’t typically see basements. If someone relocated to the midwest they would encounter basements and would they know how to care for them or what to watch for? So again, it is for special reasons like these that you ensure your home inspector is a licensed professional.
